Baby Booties!

Once summer is here, I can’t wait to start experimenting with my new  old vintage 1950 sewing machine that my grandpa bought for me last summer. Plus, it’s pink. How sweet is that? I love vintage.

While I was pregnant, I took a stab at making baby booties.. this is how they turned out.

Happy First Birthday, Peanut!

Last weekend was the big O-N-E! Yes, I cried. I can’t believe 365 days have gone by since we welcomed this little doll into the world. I am so smitten and overwhelmed with happiness; one look at this little face melts my heart.

We celebrated the day with just my boyfriend and I, and great-grandma “Oma” (Dutch for Grandma). We are having a big party with all the family about a month late, in May, because school will be over with and everyone won’t have crazy schedules. Plus, I’ll be out of school and can Pinterest some fun birthday ideas. 😉

She’s in love with puppies, so I found a little puppy cake. I also gave her highchair a little birthday pizzazz by decorating with some glittery tulle from JoAnn Fabrics. She had a blast smashing the cake (and feeding about a pound of frosting to her daddy). AWW my sweet ONE year old, Naveah Maggie. XOXO
